*Knock knock* Someone stopped by my house with a special delivery last night!

I went to door - in my jammies - and there was this tiny slip of a girl holding this weeeee tiny little kitten.

"Is this your kitten?" she asks.

"What? Nope. Not mine!"

She'd asked everyone else who lives on my road if it was theirs (she had nearly hit it on her way to work), and she didn't want to leave kitty on the road where she found it. Personally, I think someone dropped off some cats and this little kitten had gotten separated from its momma.

I could see the cat's tummy was swollen (probably worms). This is a very tiny cat, and she has superficial abrasions: one on her head and one on her front paw. The girl couldn't take kitty to work with her (some kind of camp); so, I took kitty in. I need to find a home for this little girl, though.

Andrea and I gave her a bath, and I thoroughly checked kitty over. Just those two cuts. So, we dried her off and we placed her in a small cage in Andrea's room (who is playing the role of momma).

Now, the trick is, what to feed this little bugger. I'm going to offer her some tuna - it's all I really have that's soft. The ferret food is too hard. So, tuna and some water tonight. I should weigh her, but as you can see she is little. I just hope she's weaned. She's crying right now.

This kitty looks like an extra from the movie Strays!

UPDATE July 10th: When Sprout and I woke up this morning, the first thing we did was go check on the kitty. Sprout did not see kitty last night, at all, since she was sleeping when the door knocker stopped by.

Oh, you guys should have seen her little face! She made her mouth so tinnnnnny, like a little Cheerio, and her eyes got GREAT BIG, and she started making all kinds of little noises, "Oooh! Ooooh! Ohhhh! Ahhhh! Oooh!". Sprout got so worked up that she scared the kitty, and then kitty started crying (kitty had been sound asleep, curled up in a little ball, until Sprout went off).

Kitty misses her momma, evidently. She's got that little "wah-wah" cry. Later today, I'm going to see if we can brush out her fur, even after her bath last night, as you can see in the last photo, her fur dried - but it was still kind of matted. Had time allowed last night, we should have lightly blow-dried her fur using a little brush. Then, kitty would have all been pretty and fluffy for her photo op.
